What you can expect
The packaging team at our Bad Vilbel site ensures that our medications are prepared in the form our customers buy at the pharmacy. Using multiple packaging machines, we fill tablets, capsules, creams, ointments, and liquid medications, producing retail-ready packages. As part of the production area, packaging is at the center of activity on site, connecting with all other teams locally.
- You are operationally responsible for your team in the packaging department for solid dosage forms (tablets and capsules), around 15 people across three shifts
- You ensure that packaging processes during your shift comply with applicable (GMP) requirements and standard operating procedures
- You act as the interface between your area and production planning, the warehouse, and quality control
- You are the first point of contact for your team members, helping them find solutions to problems and making decisions
- You support your team members in resolving conflicts
- You are responsible for safety, quality, and performance (production volume, setup times)
- You assign personnel within your team
- You take responsibility for the professional development of your team members
- You provide conceptual support in creating and improving standard operating procedures
- You assist in investigating quality issues
- You drive continuous improvement of on-site processes and coach employees to develop their own eye for improvements
Who we are looking for - You have completed advanced training as an industrial supervisor in pharmacy or chemistry
- Ideally, you have work experience in a manufacturing pharmaceutical company (GMP environment)
- You have experience in workforce planning and leadership
- You demonstrate assertiveness, are not afraid of conflicts, and are decisive
- You have a strong quality mindset and are willing to quickly familiarize yourself with regulatory requirements for packaging medications
- You have basic IT knowledge (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), SAP)
- You speak and write very good German and have a good command of English, both spoken and written
- You are willing to work in shifts (three-shift operation)
