About the Department The Operations department works in partnership with the multiple business lines in Front Office, providing pre/post trade support for transactions executed in the primary and secondary markets for Fixed Income, Equities, Structured, Financing and Derivative markets.
Operations plays a key role in delivering an optimal, full-spectrum service for all clients supporting functions including Middle Office, Collateral Management, Client On-boarding, Reference data management, Settlements, Cash Management, Asset Servicing and Control. This requires members of staff to develop a wide range of understanding of the businesses and an appreciation of the end-to-end processes supporting the life cycle of a transaction.
In addition to core responsibilities, Operations support new business proposals, regulatory change and general initiatives to improve the way the department operates.
Primary Responsibilities
Support Treasury Operations through migration from Legacy platform to Murex 3.
Where appropriate, carry out analysis to better understand current state/requirements for future state and prepare for increase in trade volume.
Act as interface between SMEs and Technical teams to expand and clarify high level requirements.
Focus outcomes to be in line with best practice.
Support the introduction on new responsibilities and drafting of updated process diagrams.
Ensure Operations participation in testing is well understood by the BAU team leads and organised so we can manage this alongside BAU.
Work closely with the Project teams and Technology teams to ensure Operations interested are represented fully.

XP
Demonstrate requirement gathering and workflow modelling (including MsVisio) XP
XP of supporting Treasury business for MM products.
Familiarity with data mapping, systems formats and integration issues across platforms
Ability to challenge IT
XP with supporting user testing.
Proven track record at operating in a cross cultural environment, either through placements, or direct/indirect management
XP of Murex
Proven ability to operate at multiple levels within Operations
Technical Knowledge/Skills
Relevant market practice for Money Market/Treasury business
Management of issues list and familiarity with JIRA.
Self-starter given joining part way through
Excellent understanding and awareness of front to back control standards.
UAT testing
Strong knowledge of commercial Treasury products, process' and associated risks
Knowledge of Money Market Regulation
