Trainee General Operative

Salary up to 28,000 depending on experience

A well-established company who designs and manufactures high end doors and panels for both commercial and residential clients are looking to recruit a Trainee General Operative to assist within their joinery workshop. Candidates would ideally have experience gained within a joinery environment and must have their own transport.

• Salary up to 28,000 depending on experience
• Hours 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7am to 3.15pm on Friday
• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays

The role:

• Work within a team operating a variety of machinery including Beam Saw, Hot Press, Edge Bander and sander.
• Quality check work produced

What's required:

• Previous experience gained within wood working/joinery/carpentry would be an advantage
• Machinery operation experience - training will be given on some machinery
• Must be a team player, proactive with a can-do, positive attitude and able to use own initiative
• Must be enthusiastic with a willingness to learn
• Strong communication skills along with excellent attention to detail.
• Due to location own transport is essential
