We are seeking an experienced and organised Stores Operative to manage the day-to-day operation of our clients stores function. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, control, and issue of parts and materials to support engineering and operational teams.

• Receive, inspect, and book in deliveries, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders

• Issue parts and materials to engineering and operational teams as required

• Maintain accurate stock records using stock control systems

• Monitor stock levels and highlight shortages or re-order requirements

• Carry out regular stock checks and audits

• Ensure stores are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards

• Liaise with suppliers, procurement, and internal departments

• Manage returns, warranty parts, and discrepancies

• Support continuous improvement within the stores function

• Previous experience working in a stores, warehouse, or stock control role

• Strong organisational and time-management skills

• Good IT skills (experience with stock systems desirable)

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of health & safety procedures within a stores or warehouse environment

• Experience in an engineering, transport, or automotive environment (desirable but not essential)

• Reliable and proactive
