Tool Room Machinist Ashbourne £30k £32k

We re looking for a skilled Tool Room Machinist to join our busy workshop in Ashbourne. If you enjoy hands-on machining, precision work, and taking pride in producing high-quality components, this could be the role for you.

What You ll Be Doing:

• Setting up and operating milling machines, centre lathes, saws, and drills.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to create accurate components.
• Checking finished work to ensure it meets exact specifications.
• Maintaining and caring for your machines and tooling.
• Working closely with engineers and the production team to improve processes.

What We re Looking For:

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on machinist experience in a tool room or workshop.
• Skilled with precision measuring tools (callipers, micrometres, gauges).
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• This is not a CNC operator role we need someone with full machining skills and experience, not just programming or operating CNC machines.

Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 am 5:00 pm (flexible start time up to 1 hour)

Salary & Benefits:

• £30,000 £32,000 per year (depending on experience)
