We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and hardworking School Caretaker to join a network of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools in Merton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining safe, clean, and well-run environments where students and staff can thrive.

• Ensuring the security and safety of school premises

• Carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and health & safety checks

• Overseeing cleaning standards and site presentation

• Opening and closing the school buildings as required

• Supporting with setting up rooms for school activities and events

• Liaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issues promptly

• Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and health & safety policies

• Has previous caretaking, site management, or facilities experience (school experience desirable but not essential)

• Is practical, hands-on, and able to work independently

• Has good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude

• Is reliable, flexible, and takes pride in their work

• Is committed to supporting an inclusive school environment

• Full-time, stable employment (5 days per week)
