Holt Engineering are looking for an
experience Stores Operative & Buyer to join our client in Poole, this is a role that offers a lot of variety and the chance to really make an impact.The position is full time, working Monday to Friday and paying 28- 30,000 based on experience, the Stores Operative & Buyer will be involved in the efficient operation of the company's inventory and purchasing processes.Key responsibilities for the successful Stores Operative & Buyer:
- Ensure stock levels are optimised, materials are procured cost-effectively, and all storage areas are well-organised to meet operational needs
- Source and negotiate with suppliers for best pricing and quality
- Process purchase orders
- Ensure the stores area is organised and operating efficiently
- Develop and ensure procedures are being followed for inventory and storage
- Creating and maintaining accurate records for costing, trends and stock levels
Requirements to be considered for the Stores Operative & Buyer
- Previous buying experience is essential as as well as Stores
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience working with Management or ERP systems
