Internal Sales Executive Groundworks & Civils
Leeds (Office-Based)(Monday Friday, 8 am 5 pm)
£35,000 £40,000 basic + Commission (after 6 months) + Progression

I m working exclusively with a growing business in the groundworks and civils sector, which is looking to appoint an Internal Sales Executive at their Leeds office.

This is a great opportunity for someone with civils or groundworks sales experience who enjoys outbound, phone-based sales and is looking for a role with genuine progression as the business continues to expand.

Key responsibilities include:

• Proactive outbound sales calls to contractors, groundworkers, merchants, and stabilisation companies
• Managing and developing an existing database of circa 250 civils/groundworks contacts
• Generating new enquiries, following up leads, and maintaining regular customer contact
• Managing CRM data accurately (full training provided)
• Building relationships with merchants and supporting their sales activity
• Handling commercial conversations, negotiation, and account management
• Driving sales during peak seasonal demand periods

The role will initially be standalone, but there is clear scope for progression into a leadership position or for the successful candidate to become the product specialist as the business grows.

The Candidate:

• Sales experience within groundworks, earthworks, civils, or civil merchants
• Confidence and resilience in a phone-based sales environment
• A proactive approach to outbound sales and pipeline development
• Strong organisational skills and experience using CRM systems
• A genuine interest in developing long-term customer relationships

Ability to commute daily to Leeds (this is not a hybrid role). Experience selling to or working with merchants.
