CISCO Network Engineer (Contract)

  • Hybrid - some onsite days/evenings/weekends at Heathrow

Summary

My client needs to bring in a CISCO Network Engineer who has in-depth experience and detailed knowledge of designing, building, and implementing Cisco Networks. Not only will you be hands-on, you will also be knowledgeable about the architecture; working with the design and developing it.

There will be some out of hours and weekend working required for the migration events. There will be a requirement to attend site at Heathrow to attend meetings, carry out build, and test activities.

Deliverables

  • Design, test, build and implement complex Cisco both Wide area and Local Area Networks.
  • Ensure that the networks are designed and configured in accordance with the strategic design, security and configuration frameworks.
  • Staging and full regression testing of networks within the staging areas prior to network deployment.
  • Installation and configuration of new network hardware.
  • Decommissioning of redundant network hardware in accordance with the security and disposal guidelines.
  • Work with the service and security teams to ensure all relevant management and security controls are in please.
  • Develop network diagrams, schematics, and design documents and ensure all required signoffs are obtained.
  • Development of detailed migration plans and playbooks.
  • Provide network auditing and analysis where required.
  • Support the handover of the management of the devices to both the internal and external third-party management and support areas.
