Production Planning Team Leader

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Production Planning Team Leader to manage and coordinate the daily activities of our planning team. You will ensure production schedules are effectively planned and executed to meet customer demand while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the Production Planning team, providing guidance and motivation.
• Implement and maintain MRP/ERP production planning tools and best practices.
• Develop and adjust production schedules based on forecasts, inventory, and capacity.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and service teams to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor production progress, resolve bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.
• Analyse data to improve planning accuracy and processes.
• Provide regular reporting on schedule adherence and planning performance.
• Manage material forecasts for production requirements.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in Production Planning & Control, ideally using SAP.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems.
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

Education:

• Educated to A level standard or equivalent; degree-level preferred.
