We are looking for a Family Service worker on behalf of a client in the Macclesfield area.In this role, you will work in partnership with families, children, and partner agencies to deliver early help and preventative support. You will deliver evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes for children and families across the 0-19 age range, ensuring support is timely, coordinated, and needs-led.Key Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with children's services and external agencies to deliver targeted family support programmes
- Plan, deliver, and review interventions for children and families, including 1:1 and group-based work
- Undertake holistic assessments of family needs using relevant assessment tools
- Provide early intervention support to families experiencing difficulties, prioritising vulnerable and hard-to-reach families
- Maintain accurate and timely case records and contribute to reports as required
- Collect and input data to support performance monitoring and service improvement
- Actively seek and respond to the views of service users
- Follow safeguarding procedures and escalate concerns appropriately
- Work in line with statutory requirements, policies, and professional standards
Key Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification (or significant relevant experience)
- Experience working with children, young people, and families in a support or early help setting
- Experience delivering outcome-focused interventions, both 1:1 and in group settings
- Knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and early intervention practices
- Ability to complete assessments and maintain accurate case records
- Strong communication, organisational, and partnership-working skills
- Resilience and ability to manage emotionally demanding situations professionally
- UK DRIVING LICENECE AND BUSINESS INSURANCE
Contract Length: 3-6 months with a view to extend to an ongoing contract.Pay Rate: £17-£22 NEGOTIABLE DOE. Working pattern - 37 hours per week.
