The Role

Due to ongoing growth, the business is looking for a CNC Machinist to join their busy team in Cheddar. This is a long-term position offering excellent career progression. You will work on both manual and CNC machines, producing high-quality components from drawings or samples.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC milling and turning machines
• Machine parts from drawings or samples
• Select tooling, speeds, and feeds
• Carry out one-off and batch work
• Inspect components using precision measuring tools
• Repair shafts and journals
• Maintain machines and safe working practices

About You

• Proven machining experience (milling & turning essential)
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Knowledge of machining tolerances, speeds, and feeds
• Experience with ferrous and non-ferrous materials
• On-call/rota availability
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
