Quality Inspector - Braintree - Manufacturing - up to 30,000

We are looking for a hands-on Quality Inspector to support the SHEQ Manager and manage day-to-day quality activities across incoming goods, production, warehouse stock, and customer returns.

This role suits someone practical, organised, and comfortable working across inspection, testing, documentation, and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspection of incoming goods from UK, Europe, and China
• Periodic inspection of in-house assembly and custom builds
• Mechanical and electrical testing of products, including R&D support
• Calibration and control of tools, gauges, and electrical equipment
• Processing customer returns and maintaining accurate records
• Management of non-conformance reports (NCRs) and supplier liaison
• Creation and maintenance of Declarations of Conformity
• Supporting ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and Kitemark compliance
• Assisting with internal and external audits and quality documentation
• Managing WEEE waste, scrap material, and QA housekeeping
• Training staff on quality-related matters and generating quality reports

About You

The successful Quality Inspector will have:

• Experience in a quality inspection, QC, or QA role
• Background in manufacturing, electronics, electrical, or mechanical environments
• Practical knowledge of inspection, testing, calibration, and NCRs
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 (14001/45001 desirable)
• Strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach
