About the Role:
Through Academics is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Tutor to deliver high-quality education in a prison setting. This role offers the chance to make a real difference by helping learners develop their reading, writing, and communication skills while supporting their personal growth and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to learners' needs.

• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback.

• Support learners in achieving qualifications and personal development goals.

• Maintain accurate records and adhere to safeguarding policies.

• Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.

Person Specification:

• Relevant qualifications in English or Education (eg, PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent).

• Experience teaching English, ideally in a prison or challenging educational setting.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Patience, resilience, and the ability to motivate learners.

• Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS clearance.
