The Opportunity
Our client, a specialist technology company, is seeking a driven Technical Sales Engineer to join their UK team. This role is ideal for a commercially minded individual with technical aptitude who thrives on building long-term client relationships and navigating complex, detailed sales cycles.

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will leverage your technical knowledge and commercial insight to specify solutions, create quotations and proposals, and drive sales success across the UK market. You will work closely with clients, providing expert technical advice and ensuring all solutions meet client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret customer requirements and develop commercially viable solutions using the company's technology portfolio
• Create accurate quotations and proposals, documenting technical and commercial details
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, leading presentations and discussions
• Proactively generate new opportunities through targeted sales campaigns
• Verify technical accuracy of sales orders and support deal closure

Skills & Experience Required

• 2+ years in a technical sales, pre-sales, or solution-selling role
• Strong customer focus with excellent communication and presentation skills
• Technical aptitude, educated to A-Level/T-Level or equivalent (Technology, Maths, or IT preferred)
• Demonstrable commercial awareness and ability to drive deals to close
• Live in a commutable distance to Colchester

Desirable

• Experience in Electronics, Defence, Telecom, Aerospace, Transport, or Utilities sectors
• Knowledge of timing and frequency technologies (PTP, NTP, time stamping) or related networking hardware
