The Role An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to take full responsibility for a single-man site within a busy shopping centre. This is an electrically biased position, with the successful candidate also carrying out basic mechanical and fabric maintenance as part of the day-to-day operation of the site.

This role offers autonomy, stability, and a strong work-life balance in a Monday-to-Friday position.

Key Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site
• Fault-finding on lighting, power, emergency lighting, and distribution systems
• Undertake basic mechanical tasks (eg pumps, fans, simple plant checks)
• Carry out fabric maintenance including doors, locks, minor repairs, and general upkeep
• Manage the site independently and liaise with centre management
• Coordinate specialist subcontractors where required
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards
• Complete maintenance documentation accurately

Requirements

• Fully qualified Electrical Engineer (NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Experience within commercial building maintenance
• Comfortable in a multi-skilled, standalone role
• Strong fault-finding and communication skills

Package

• Salary up to £45,000
• Monday to Friday, 8am 5pm
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays
