Are you an experienced surveyor with a strong background in housing assets and capital works? A local authority is seeking a proactive Assets & Investment Surveyor to join their Housing Assets Team on an immediate-start basis. This is a long-term temporary position with the potential to go permanent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone confident managing investment programmes, diagnosing building issues, and ensuring contractors deliver high quality work across a varied housing portfolio.Your new role
Managing and delivering capital investment schemes including kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, roofing and wider component upgrades Completing stock condition surveys, void inspections and investment planning assessments
Diagnosing building pathology issues such as damp and mould, structural concerns and general disrepair
Managing customer enquiries, complaints and escalations with a professional, solution focused approach
Working closely with contractors to ensure specifications, compliance, quality standards and value for money
Supporting wider asset management planning and advising on lifecycle works and future investment priorities
What you'll need to succeed
Strong technical understanding of social housing asset management Experience in capital programmes or planned maintenance delivery
Confident working with contractors, residents and internal stakeholders
Ability to identify building defects and provide clear technical recommendations
A highly organised, proactive surveyor able to hit the ground running
