Oracle DBA (Google Cloud Platform transformation)

£400 to £450 per day - Inside Ir35 - Remote work - occasional trips to client site - 3 months initial

I am looking for a Senior Database Engineer to help understand how schemas, stored procedures, functions are configured in Oracle and assist in the transfer of the Oracle DB to the chosen Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL/EDB)

The team is re-platforming a complex Legacy Java application (currently running on Oracle DB) to a new Google Cloud Platform (GCP/GCloud)

The DBA will also ideally be experienced with identifying and rectifying performance issues with SQL queries that we could encounter as part of the transition.

To be considered you will have:-

• A deep technical understanding about relational databases and database design.
• 10 years + Oracle DB experience
• Commercial, hands-on, experience migrating Oracle Database to Cloud Platforms (Ideally GCP)
• Ideally, the candidate will have exposure to MySQL, PostgreSQL and an understanding of DB2.

This will be one of the first of several concurrent projects so long term extensions planned
