MOT Technician & Tester

Location: Salisbury
Salary: 36,000 (competitive, depending on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and dependable MOT Technician & Tester to join our workshop in the Salisbury area. You will be responsible for carrying out MOT tests, vehicle inspections, servicing, and a wide range of mechanical repairs. Your expertise will ensure vehicles are safe, compliant, and repaired to the highest standards, contributing to an excellent service experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations
• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
• Identify faults and recommend effective repair solutions
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and following workshop procedures
• Maintain detailed and accurate job records
• Uphold a safe, clean, and organised working environment
• Deliver friendly and professional customer service when required

Requirements

• Valid MOT Tester licence (Class 4)
• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• A proactive attitude with a focus on quality workmanship
