Hamilton Woods Associates are working with a charity that is looking for a Supported Housing Officer to work with males fleeing domestic violence.

Responsibilities of the Supported Housing Officer includes:

• Providing housing and tenancy related support to males fleeing domestic violenc
• Identifying their needs and agreeing a programme of support via floating support, telephone support or housing related support.
• Ensuring that the telephone helpline is staffed
• Referring men into the crash pad accommodation and to ensure that they get a high level of support in order for them to move on into more appropriate accommodation.
• Supporting men living wirhin dispersed units of longer term accommodation
• Managing referrals and conducting needs and risk assessments
• Conducting health and safety checks
• Completing inductions
• Ensuring clients adhere to their tenancy agreements
• Fostering joint working with other agencies and services to provide holistic support
• Assisting with benefit applications

Essential criteria of the Supported Housing Officer include:

• Enhanced DBS or willingess to undergo one
• Experience with vulnerable clients within a housing support capacity
• UK driving license and access to own vehicle
