Our client, Shropshire County Council, is seeking an agency social worker for its Fostering service.

This role will last 3 months initially, paid at £28.55 per hour (MOU rate).

The role will involve the following:

• Supporting and Supervising Foster Carers
• Ensuring High-Quality Placements & Safe Care
• Monitoring, Visiting & Oversight
• Visiting carers regularly
• Monitoring the home environment and child's progress
• Ensuring fostering households remain compliant with regulations and standards
• Multi agency Collaboration & Case Coordination Teams messages highlight real-world expectations
• Supporting initiatives like the Mockingbird Constellation model.

Requirements of the role:

• Qualified Social Worker
• Fully Social Work England registered
• 3 years post-qualified experience in employment of a local authority (DFE rules)
• Must have significant experience in children's social care, specifically in a fostering setting
• Commitment to trauma informed, child centred, therapeutic practice.
