We are seeking an Azure Cloud Architect to support a government programme. You will provide design assurance and deliver production-ready Azure infrastructure designs, working closely with the Lead Cloud Architect and senior stakeholders to ensure secure, resilient, and cost-effective platforms.
Essential Skills
Strong Azure infrastructure and cloud platform design experience in regulated environments.
Azure networking expertise (VNETs, private endpoints, ingress/egress, DNS, hybrid connectivity).
Containerisation experience (AKS and/or Azure Container Apps).
Identity integration using Entra ID, RBAC/ABAC, workload identities, Key Vault.
Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep with CI/CD or GitOps.
Knowledge of cloud security, zero-trust principles, availability, DR, and FinOps.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
Provide design review and assurance of HLD/LLD artefacts against security, resilience, performance, operability, and cost NFRs.
Produce end-to-end Azure infrastructure designs for the NESO AI platform, covering networking, identity, containers, security, observability, reliability, and DR.
Define an IaC-first delivery approach and CI/CD pathways.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, production-ready solutions.
Location: Wokingham - 2 x per week
Contract: Initially 5 months
Rate: around £650 per day (Outside IR35)
