Job Title: Cable Laying Ganger (33kV)
Location: Scotland ( Dundee & North )
Salary: Competitive + tax free subsistence
Duration: Approx. 6 months (starting March 2026) potential for follow-on work
Hours: 10 hours per day, Monday Friday
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Cable Laying Ganger to join our dynamic team on upcoming 33kV energy projects in Dundee and the surrounding areas. You will be responsible for leading a small team of operatives, ensuring safe and efficient installation of underground and overhead cables according to project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate a team of cable laying operatives.
Plan daily work schedules and allocate tasks efficiently.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Inspect work completed by the team to ensure quality standards.
Liaise with site management and report progress.
Maintain tools, equipment, and site materials.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Cable Laying Ganger or similar supervisory role.
Knowledge of cable laying techniques, tools, and equipment.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
Good communication and team leadership skills.
CSCS card or relevant certification preferred.
