About the Role:
Our client is a world leader in ship navigation and maritime systems, is seeking an experienced Electrical Assembly Technician/Wireperson. You ll assemble control panels and racks, perform soldering and crimping, interpret technical drawings, and help define manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble wiring systems, racks, and enclosures from schematics and BOMs
- Perform soldering, crimping, and cable routing
- Carry out electrical testing and fault-finding
- Maintain and improve manufacturing documentation and standards
- Collaborate with engineering to optimize quality and efficiency
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (BTEC, NVQ, City & Guilds)
- Practical experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring, or cable assembly
- Ability to read technical drawings and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Desirable:
- HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related field
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification
- Experience writing work instructions
