We are working with a major FM and property services provider who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong pricing and commercial analysis background to support their social housing and public-sector maintenance contracts across the South of England.

This role is ideal for a QS who enjoys the commercial engine room side of the business, with a strong focus on pricing, CVR reporting, and working to Schedules of Rates across high-volume repairs and maintenance programmes.

The position offers location flexibility across the South, with a mix of office, site, and remote working depending on project needs.

Role Overview

You will play a key role in ensuring accurate pricing, strong cost visibility, and commercial control across multiple housing maintenance and FM workstreams. Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you ll support decision-making through robust CVR, forecasting, and margin protection.

This is a commercially focused role rather than purely site-based project QS work.

Key Responsibilities

• Pricing of works using Schedules of Rates (SoR)
• Producing and managing CVR reports, forecasts, and financial performance analysis
• Supporting commercial strategy through detailed cost and margin analysis
• Reviewing and validating job pricing, variations, and recharge mechanisms
• Supporting budget setting and financial controls across contracts
• Working with operational teams to improve cost efficiency and commercial outcomes
• Assisting with change control and client reporting
• Supporting month-end commercial processes
• Use of commercial and finance systems to manage reporting and controls

Essential Experience

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within repairs & maintenance, FM, or housing maintenance
• Strong experience working with Schedules of Rates and high-volume pricing models
• Solid background in CVR, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Commercially analytical with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across operations and finance
• Strong Excel and commercial systems capability
