Teaching Assistant Autism & Complex Needs
We are seeking to appoint a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school setting supporting pupils with autism and complex needs.
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to provide 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils to access learning, develop communication and social skills, and manage their emotional and sensory needs. You will contribute to creating a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment tailored to individual pupils.
Key responsibilities include:

Providing 1:1 support for pupils with autism and complex needs

Supporting learning activities in line with individual education plans

Assisting with behaviour regulation and emotional support

Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff

Supporting pupils personal care where required
The ideal candidate will:

Be patient, resilient and empathetic

Have a positive and proactive approach to supporting pupils

Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills
-
Have experience working with children with SEND (desirable but not essential)
Training and ongoing professional development will be provided.
