On behalf of our client based in Hull, DNA Recruitment Solutions are looking for a dynamic, ambitious individual to join a small team in the dry bulk department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate impeccable customer service and will have experience in the transport/logistics industry.

The Role

• Processing customer orders
• Deliver great customer service over the phone and in person
• Tracking and planning UK drivers and equipment ensuring optimal utilisation
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure orders are fulfilled
• Communicate with customers and keep them informed of order status
• Oversee turnaround of vehicles and containers to maximise productivity
• Recharge any additional costs
• Arrange maintenance and cleaning of equipment and book repairs and servicing
• Active involvement in P&L and CPA
• On boarding of new business

Requirements

• Experience in customer service
• CPC certificate (or willingness to work towards)
• Experience in transport/logistics, with knowledge of tanker planning
• Strong organisational skills, able to multitask and prioritise without compromising standards
• Attention to detail, able to deliver accuracy in data entry, documentation and record keeping
• Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
• Financial acumen
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Familiar with Transport Management systems and database software
• Knowledge of MS packages (Excel, Outlook etc)
• Reliable and resilient
• Adaptable - able to change priorities and work schedules to support the team in peak or periods of high demand
• Willing to switch between customer service and operational functions
