RWM UK is now starting a new production site in Telford.
Rheinmetall Weapons and Ammunition UK (RWM UK) is part of the defence engineering company Rheinmetall AG based in Germany. We design, manufacture and support military large-calibre weapon systems used by the British Army and international customers.
The individual in this role will report directly to the VP Production and be responsible for production planning team ( approximately 10 Engineering Specialists) and the tool management/administration. As Team Leader you will ensure the ramp-up of the production by providing the tools and CNC-Programs
The individual will be responsible for:
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
Essential:
- Completed studies in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Alternatively, completed vocational training in machining or metal technology (eg CNC-Operator, Toolmaker, Industrial Mechanic) with a broad experience
- Significant leadership experience in the manufacturing processes of turning, milling in shift operation
- Significant experience in CNC programming and Tool-data-management (eg TopSolid, Teamcenter, Exapt)
- Demonstrate high levels of SHE behaviours to teams through positive promotion of safety awareness, risk management and compliance
Desired:
- Experience in manufacturing processes of deep drilling, eroding, Laser hardening.
- Experience in ramp-up of new production processes.
- Experience working with SAP.
