JOB SUMMARY
As an Advanced Practitioner within the Practice Development Hub, you will contribute to the development, delivery and continuous improvement of our practice model, professional development and training offer for children s social care practitioners.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Being a key member of the Social Work Academy, working alongside Team Managers to provide supervision, support and guidance to Newly Qualified Social Workers during their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
• Offering support to Practice Educators and assessing Social Work Students undertaking placements within Barnsley.
• Developing and delivering high-quality training aligned to the Barnsley Stronger Together Practice Model, supporting learning and driving best practice across Children s Social Care.
• Working closely with the Quality Assurance Team to ensure learning from audit activity is Embedded into training, development and practice improvement.
• Collaborating with partner agencies to strengthen multi-agency working and promote effective, consistent practice across services.
• Providing tailored support to teams and services, aligned to individual and service-level need.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• A recognised Social Work qualification
• Registration with Social Work England
• Significant post-qualification experience within children s social care
• Experience of supervision, mentoring and practice development
• Strong communication, facilitation and relationship-building skills
