Climb Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading global manufacturing business, based in Rotherham. Due to a continually healthy order book they are looking for talented Finishing Operatives to join their growing team.

Finishing Operative

Key Responsibilities

• Remove defects from castings

• Utilise a range of hand tools, (electric, pneumatic, hydraulic)

• Work to tight tolerances and follow the required quality procedure at all times.

• Checking dimensions of components and using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, calipers or depth gauges.

Required Skills & Experience

• Applicants must have previous experience in a Production/Manufacturing environment.

• Manually dexterous

• Strong attention to detail

• Flexible team worker who can work safely on own initiative

• Good written and verbal communication skills

Working Hours:

Your normal working week consists of 37.5 hours. You will be required to work the following alternating shift patterns:

- Shift Pattern 1 (Days):

- Monday to Thursday: 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

- Friday: 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

- Shift Pattern 2 (Afternoons): (25% shift allowance applicable)

- Monday to Thursday: 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

- Friday: 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

- Shift Pattern 3 (Nights): (36% shift allowance applicable)

- Sunday to Friday: 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m

Salary & Benefits

• For the rotating day and afternoon shifts, the base salary is £28,000, with a 25% shift allowance, (Nights): (36% shift allowance applicable)

• 22 day holiday, plus bank holidays, plus an additional day for each complete year of service, up to a maximum of five additional days.
