Futures are working with a well-established manufacturing business that s looking to appoint a Technical Projects Manager to take ownership of a wide-ranging portfolio of engineering and operational projects.

This is a standalone project role with real autonomy. You ll be the only dedicated project professional in the business, working across functions to deliver multiple concurrent projects in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

The role offers a genuinely varied project mix, with responsibility for managing several projects at any one time.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives
• Machine moves and factory reconfiguration
• Capital investment projects, including the purchase and installation of new press lines for key customers (eg Tier 1/OEM clients)
• Tooling design, procurement, and implementation

• Proven Project Manager experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Strong exposure to tooling and press work (highly desirable)
• Experience delivering capital equipment and machinery projects
• Comfortable managing multiple live projects with competing priorities
• Confident operating autonomously as the sole project function
• Strong technical and commercial awareness

This role would suit a hands-on, technically strong Project Manager who enjoys variety, ownership, and working close to the shop floor rather than within a large PMO structure.
