Quality Inspector
Quality Inspector opportunity available with a sub contract engineering company in Gloucester, GL3, paying c 40,000, working straight days
As a result of a healthy order book our client is looking for an additional Quality Inspector to join their team. Supporting customers across a broad range of industries such as aerospace and oil and gas to name but two, they have a built a reputation with their customers for providing high quality products.
As Quality Engineer for our client your role will involve the following:
- perform all 1st off inspections
- carry out First Article Inspection Reports
- have experience of using CMM alongside conventional measuring equipment
- carry out in-process inspection alongside final inspection
- liaise with customers with any issues that need resolving
- be responsible for quality assurance
- have a good understanding of aerospace procedures and quality issues
- have a general knowledge of common plating processes
- calibrate all measuring equipment
- use MRP system on a daily basis
- carry out all corrective actions
- organise all necessary paperwork for dispatch
For your application for the role of Quality Inspector to be successful you will need the following:
- recognised relevant qualification or time served apprenticeship
- excellent problem solving skills with the ability to innovate
- strong working experience gained with manufacturing/engineering
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- must be able to program CMM
- strong team player with the ability to work unsupervised
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30 - 4:00 Friday 7:30 - 3:00 with paid overtime available
Holiday entitlement: 33 days including bank holidays
