Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced AI Advisory Consultant to support the design, scoping, and delivery of a co-creation facility focused on AI innovation. This role will provide technical AI guidance, translate complex AI and ML concepts into actionable capability requirements, and ensure these are integrated across project work products. The consultant will also contribute to operating models, pilot scoping, and delivery roadmaps, supporting sustainable collaboration between industry and government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical scoping of the AI co-creation facility, integrating outputs into the project-wide sprint cycle using fortnightly iterations.

• Provide expert AI and ML advice to the project team, translating complex technical concepts into capability requirements and actionable insights.

• Develop the technical elements of a target operating model, including data, compute, platform, and integration requirements.

• Define the AI technical elements of pilot programmes and proof-of-concept initiatives.

• Support the development of the AI delivery roadmap, ensuring alignment with commercial and financial arrangements to incentivise co-location of stakeholders.

• Conduct handover and knowledge transfer activities to embed enduring AI technical understanding within the organisation.

• Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring AI capability requirements are Embedded in design, delivery, and governance processes.

Experience & Skills:

• Demonstrable experience providing AI/ML advisory services in government, defence, or high-security environments.

• Strong understanding of AI operating models, data platforms, MLOps, and technical integration within enterprise contexts.

• Experience with pilot programme scoping and translating AI capabilities into operationally viable initiatives.

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

• Proven ability to work in agile/iterative project environments.

• Experience in knowledge transfer and capability uplift initiatives.

• SC clearance essential; prior experience in classified or security-sensitive environments preferred.
