We are looking for a dynamic and engaging Psychology Teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school in Aylesbury from January 2026.

Your RoleAs a Psychology Teacher, you will play an essential role in helping students understand the core principles of psychology, from theories of cognition to the study of social behaviour. Your lessons will inspire students to engage with key psychological concepts, conduct research, and critically assess their learning to excel in their exams and beyond.
Key Responsibilities-
Lesson Planning: Plan and deliver engaging lessons based on the national curriculum for Psychology, incorporating diverse teaching methods and resources.

Encourage Critical Thinking: Promote a classroom environment where students are encouraged to discuss, debate, and critically analyse psychological theories and studies.

Assess Student Progress: Regularly assess students understanding, providing tailored support and feedback to help them meet academic targets.

Literacy and Research Skills: Support students in developing their writing, research, and analysis skills within the field of Psychology.

Collaborative Teamwork: Work with the wider school team to contribute to departmental planning, school initiatives, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience: Proven experience teaching Psychology at Key Stage 3 and 4 (KS5 experience is desirable but not essential).

Subject Knowledge: A strong understanding of Psychology, including both theoretical knowledge and research methodology.

Classroom Management: Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
