Role: Deputy Manager (Nursing pin required)
Location: Southport
Salary: £48,000
Service size: Small home 30 beds
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Role Purpose
To support the Service Manager in leading a small specialist residential service, ensuring safe, high-quality care and regulatory compliance. The Deputy Manager will supervise staff, oversee daily operations, and maintain person-centered support. In the Service Manager s absence, they will take full responsibility for the service.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee and support the delivery of care plans to meet individual needs.
Maintain compliance with all regulatory, clinical, and health & safety standards.
Supervise, develop, and motivate staff, ensuring effective rotas and performance management.
Support budget control, medication management, and accurate record-keeping.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for service users and staff.
Build and maintain professional relationships with families, professionals, and stakeholders.
Lead or support investigations, audits, and service improvements as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential
Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN.
Experience in a supervisory or deputy management role within a care or supported living setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Sound understanding of CQC standards and care compliance.
Desirable
Experience managing budgets and financial processes.
Qualification in Health and Social Care (Level 3 or above).
