Production Operative
Location: Wincanton, Somerset
Pay: £12.75 per hour
Shifts: 06 00/14 00

gap personnel are recruiting for Production Operatives to join a busy manufacturing site in Wincanton. This is a hands-on role, supporting the day-to-day filling and packing operations, ensuring high-quality output, efficiency, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery safely and efficiently, performing routine checks and maintenance.
• Monitor production materials, packaging, and labels to minimise waste.
• Carry out quality checks and report any deviations promptly.
• Complete production paperwork accurately, including downtime and quality logs.
• Liaise with colleagues across filling and packing departments to maintain smooth operations.
• Maintain housekeeping, hygiene, and equipment standards.
• Follow all health, safety, and company policies.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous dairy or production experience preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and follow production plans.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
