Carmichael UK is working with a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor delivering key works on the HS2 project in Northamptonshire. We are seeking an experienced Sub Agent to initially support night shift operations, overseeing critical PCC installation and reinforced concrete works, before transitioning into future planned works.

As Sub Agent, you will take responsibility for managing night-time site activities, coordinating teams, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme. This role will suit someone confident leading works out of hours, with strong technical knowledge and the ability to plan and drive future activities.

• Oversee night shift delivery of PCC installation works

• Manage reinforced concrete operations, including formwork, reinforcement, and pours

• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and plant during night works

• Ensure all works comply with drawings, specifications, RAMS, and ITPs

• Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance

• Plan and coordinate future works, including handover from night to day teams

• Report progress, issues, and risks to senior site management

• Support programme delivery and short-term planning activities

• Proven experience as a Sub Agent on major civil or infrastructure projects

• Strong background in PCC installation and reinforced concrete structures

• Experience managing works on night shifts

• Confident coordinating multiple work fronts and driving delivery

• SMSTS and CSCS (essential)

• Organised, proactive, and solutions-focused approach

• HS2 or Tier 1 contractor experience advantageous
