spire People is recruiting a SEND Support Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Salford (M6). This role focuses on supporting pupils in KS2 who require additional academic and emotional support.
The school has a strong inclusive ethos and works closely with families and external professionals to ensure pupils receive the support they need to succeed.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Assisting with differentiated Maths and English tasks
Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
Helping pupils build confidence, independence, and resilience
Monitoring progress and feeding back to teaching staff
Supporting transitions and unstructured times
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Has recent experience supporting SEND pupils in a primary setting
Is confident working with KS2-aged children
Has strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
Can adapt support strategies to meet individual needs
Works well as part of a wider school team
