Description
The key responsibilities of an Accounts Payable Supervisor will include:
- Supervise the accounts payable team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Review and reconcile supplier statements to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Oversee the preparation of payment runs.
- Monitor and manage accounts payable processes, identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and address queries professionally and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
- Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Provide training and guidance to team members as needed.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Supervisor should have:
- Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role ideally with experience supervising a team.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and internal control practices.
- A proactive and problem-solving approach to tasks
