CAD Technician

An established building services consultancy is looking to recruit a CAD Technician to support the production and coordination of high-quality technical drawings across a range of projects. You ll be responsible for producing accurate AutoCAD drawings, working closely with engineers, and ensuring all outputs meet agreed standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain AutoCAD building services drawings and models

• Create and modify 2D plans in line with project requirements

• Ensure all work complies with CAD standards and procedures

• Liaise with engineers to resolve technical issues and progress designs

• Attend client meetings where required to discuss CAD-related matters

• Use relevant project software including AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360

• Manage the preparation, issue, storage and archiving of drawings in line with company procedures

• Support the successful delivery of project milestones and deadlines

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a CAD Technician, ideally within building services or a related consultancy environment

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD

• Experience using BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud (desirable)

• Good attention to detail and ability to work to CAD standards

• Strong communication skills and confidence working with engineers and project teams

Working Hours & Flexibility

• Monday to Friday, 8:30am 5:00pm (1-hour lunch)
