DATA ENGINEER - CONTRACT TO PERM

TEKsystems is partnering with a global life sciences client to enable an exciting temp to perm opportunity for an early in career Data Engineer.

This is a full time contract, up to 24 months with the option to transition permanent and offers hybrid working (3 days in office)

Location: Hybrid, 3 days onsite, based in South Buckinghamshire

Data Engineer (Responsibilities overview)

Data Preparation & Integration

Collect, clean, and process data from various sources.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and readiness for visualisation.

Work with data engineers and analysts to integrate data pipelines.

Visualisation Design & Development

Create dashboards, charts, and interactive reports

Design visuals that are intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with business goals.

Apply principles of data storytelling to make insights clear and actionable.

Technical Implementation

Develop Front End components for data visualization (often using React-based frameworks).

Optimise performance for large datasets and Real Time updates.

Ensure compatibility across devices and browsers.

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements.

Translate complex data findings into visual narratives for non-technical audiences.

Provide guidance on best practices for interpreting visualizations.

Quality Assurance & Maintenance

Test dashboards for accuracy and usability.

Monitor and update visualisations as data or business needs change.

Implement accessibility standards for inclusive design.
