Job Title: System Engineer
Location: Edinburgh (1 day per week onsite)
Remuneration: £600 per day (via Umbrella Company)
Contract Details: Temporary (6-month initial contract with strong potential for extension)

Responsibilities:
Join our dynamic team as a System Engineer and showcase your skills in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will be invaluable as you:

• Manage and support core infrastructure systems with minimal supervision, ensuring optimal performance.
• Oversee the configuration and administration of Windows Server 2022, keeping systems running smoothly.
• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot Active Directory environments, including:

- AD site design
- Group Policy Management
- AD security
- Certificate services

• Contribute to network operations, focusing on routing, DHCP, and DNS to maintain seamless connectivity.
• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and efficient system administration.
• Work within an AWS Cloud environment, supporting key components like EC2, EFS, S3, and load balancers.
• Collaborate with colleagues and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of growth and learning.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged.

Required Skills & Experience:
We're looking for a passionate System Engineer with the following skills:

• Strong self-motivation and the ability to manage your workload independently.
• Solid understanding of networking principles, including routing, DHCP, and DNS.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Group Policy administration.
• Proficient knowledge of Windows Server 2022.
• Proven experience with PowerShell Scripting to streamline processes.
• Familiarity with AWS across core infrastructure components (EC2, EFS, S3, load balancing, security groups, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle challenges head-on.
• Excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with stakeholders.
