Dispensing Assistant (Full Time - 35 Hours per Week)

Salary: 26-29k depending on experience

About the Role
An established group of independent optometric practices is seeking a Full time Dispensing Assistant to join their team. Based in there Bexleyheath practice, you'll support the day-to-day operations of a busy, patient-focused environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous optical dispensing experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
-Dispense a wide variety of lenses and frames tailored to individual patient needs
-Provide knowledgeable advice on frame styles, lens types, coatings, and accessories
-Deliver outstanding service to patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience
-Assist with inventory control and stock management
-Handle point-of-sale transactions, including cash and card payments
-Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient working environment
-Collaborate effectively with optometrists, reception staff, and other team members
-Stay informed on the latest product ranges and optical technologies

What We're Looking For
-Previous experience in optical dispensing is essential
-Strong product knowledge of lenses, frames, and associated services
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Proven customer service abilities in a fast-paced setting
-Confident in handling cash and managing stock
-Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
-Able to work independently as well as part of a team
-Willingness to travel between practices

MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 12 MONTHS OPTICS EXPERIENCE TO APPLY.
