Location: Leeds, Bristol, or Halifax (2 days per week on-site)
Daily Rate: £400 - £450 per day (umbrella)

In this exciting position, you will play a key role in stitching together various change initiatives from multiple business areas, ensuring they align with the bank's vision and operating model. You'll collaborate closely with a talented group of Business Designers, Business Architects, and Change & Delivery professionals to design, challenge, and deliver end-to-end business solutions that truly make an impact!

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead business design activities across complex, cross-functional change programmes.
• Tackle and solve complex business problems with analytical precision.
• Ensure coherence and strategic alignment across multiple workstreams and business units.
• Develop and maintain business capability models, value streams, and target operating models.
• Partner with technology teams to translate business needs into technical implications.
• Maintain an enterprise view, ensuring designs reflect long-term strategy.
• Facilitate workshops and produce compelling narratives articulating business outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, influencing decisions and guiding leaders through change.
• Represent the Business Design function in cross-bank governance forums.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating resilience under pressure.

Key Skills & Experience:

Essential:

• Proven experience in Business Design, Business Architecture, or similar strategic change roles within Financial Services.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach challenges in a structured manner.
• Deep understanding of business operating models, business process design, and capability frameworks.
• Strategic mindset, balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term goals.
• Exceptional storytelling and communication skills to convey complex ideas simply.
• Effective stakeholder management experience, influencing senior leaders.
• A holistic view of the business, understanding how different areas connect and interact.
• Comfortable navigating a high-paced, ambiguous environment.

Desirable:

• Familiarity with TOGAF or other Business Architecture frameworks/certifications.
• Experience with enterprise-scale transformation programmes.
• Exposure to technology delivery and translating business requirements into technical designs.
