Test Technician
As the Test Technician you will work with bespoke, semi-automated and manual test equipment, as well as handle ultra-high-value, delicate components in controlled environments.
Key Responsibilities for the Test Technician
- Testing of high value components
- Set up and operate test equipment following defined procedures
- Perform functional measurements
- Record, analyse, and interpret test results against specifications
- Accurately log results in test systems, ERP, and production records
- Identify and document failures
- Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams
- Maintain clean, controlled test areas and follow procedures
- Involvement with Kitting activities
- Prepare and kit components
- Handle fragile parts using approved procedures
- Verify parts against BOMs and build documentation
- Visually inspect components for damage or non-conformance
- Ensure correct packaging, labelling, and traceability
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support stock control
Skills & Experience for the Test Technician
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical working style
- Experience testing and handling high-value components
- Comfortable working in clean environments
- Ability to follow detailed test procedures and technical documentation
- Good IT skills for test software, ERP/MRP, and data entry
- Strong sense of responsibility for expensive, business-critical hardware
