SF Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of one of their long-standing clients who are seeking a Credit Controller, based at their Head Office in Nottingham.

Job Overview
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the credit control process, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. Your expertise in accounting software and credit management will be essential in optimising cash flow and minimising bad debts.

Key responsibilities:
Monitor accounts receivable and manage the collection of outstanding debts.
Conduct regular credit reviews and assessments of customer accounts to mitigate risk.
Liaise with customers to resolve payment discrepancies and negotiate payment terms.
Prepare and issue statements, and reminders in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of all communications with customers regarding payments.
Collaborate with the finance team to report on cash flow forecasts and aged debt analysis.
Utilise accounting software for effective account management.
Provide support to other members of the accounts team and assist in their professional development.

Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable management.
Proficiency in accounting software.
Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and financial principles.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate reporting and record keeping.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
