Minibus Driver Construction Site Reading (CIS Only)

Munnelly Support Services are currently recruiting an experienced Minibus Driver for a busy construction site in Reading, working on a government-funded project. This role is CIS only and is ideal for drivers familiar with construction environments and site-based transport.

You will be responsible for transporting operatives around the site in a minibus. Journeys are short (approximately 10 minutes per run), with peak activity during morning and evening start/finish times and quieter periods during the day.

Role Overview

• Driving construction operatives to and from various points on site
• Operating a minibus safely and professionally within a live construction environment
• Busy periods during shift changeovers, with downtime between runs
• Ensuring passenger safety and smooth site logistics at all times

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operating a minibus on and around a construction site
• Transporting workers efficiently during peak start and finish times
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
• Keeping the vehicle clean, roadworthy, and presentable
• Completing basic journey logs and site paperwork
• Following all site rules, traffic management plans, and health & safety procedures

Requirements (Essential)

• Full UK Driving Licence with Category D1 entitlement (Manual)
• Driver CPC qualification (valid CPC card)
• Previous experience driving passengers (minibus or similar)
• Experience working on or around construction sites (highly desirable)
• Happy to work on a CIS (self-employed) basis only
• Strong safety awareness and professional attitude

Security Clearance Important

Due to the nature of the project, candidates must be able to pass a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. This includes:

• Having lived in the UK for the past 5 years
• A minimum of 3 years UK work history
• Right to Work and background checks
