Role: DevOps Engineer

Location: Sheffield, UK (Hybrid)

Contract: 6 months (possible extension)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support CI/CD pipeline development and cloud-based deployments for a leading financial services client.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Groovy

• Develop automation and tooling in Python

• Optimise pipelines for performance and reliability

• Support deployments across AWS and/or GCP

• Embed security and quality checks into CI/CD workflows

• Collaborate with engineering teams to drive DevOps best practices

Essential Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins, Groovy, and Python

• Experience working with AWS and/or GCP

• Solid CI/CD and DevOps background

• Experience with containers and modern build/deployment practices

Nice to Have

• Terraform, Helm, or IaC experience

• DevSecOps or GitOps exposure
