Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to KS5.

• Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of all learners.

• Monitor student progress and provide constructive, targeted feedback.

• Prepare students for GCSE examinations with focused teaching and revision.

• Support curriculum planning and development within the Geography department.

• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation.

• Uphold school behaviour policies and maintain strong classroom management.

• Contribute to extracurricular initiatives, including field trips and departmental activities.

• Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents to support student success.

Candidate Profile

• QTS or equivalent overseas teaching qualification.

• Degree in Geography or a closely related subject.

• Experience teaching Geography at secondary level.

• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Geography education.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• Ability to differentiate teaching for a range of abilities.

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
