We're recruiting on behalf of a valued client in Tamworth for a skilled Toolmaker to join their engineering team. This is a permanent role working a 4 on/4 off day shift pattern, offering excellent work-life balance and a competitive salary of £42,000

You'll be working in a busy manufacturing environment, supporting production by manufacturing, maintaining, and repairing tooling and associated components to a high standard. This is a hands-on role that requires precision, quick thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Manufacture and repair tools and components using tool room machinery

• Respond quickly to tooling breakdowns to keep production on track

• Work from technical drawings or replicate existing parts

• Repair and modify extrusion and mould tools

• Support the maintenance team when needed

• Assist with tooling-related production issues and recovery

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

• Ensure a safe, clean working environment at all times

• Proven background in toolmaking or precision engineering

• Skilled in using tool room machinery

• Able to interpret technical drawings with accuracy

• Experience with extrusion and moulding tools preferred

• Committed to safety and quality in a fast-paced setting
